Cardiologist can sometimes encounter foreign objects like a bullet, a pellet, shrapnel, an ice pick, a pencil, or a needle in many clinical situations as a result of a trauma or gun-shot injury, or by iatrogenic introduction of wires, catheters etc., or embolism in the heart. Foreign bodies in the heart may lead to many complications including infective endocarditis, thrombosis, systemic or pulmonary embolism, perforation, tamponade, pericarditis, and myocardial injury. Therefore, early removal of a foreign object is vital to avoid any complications. In this report, we present the case of a middle-aged man who was admitted to hospital with chest pain due to an unusual cause: a sewing needle. …
