Morphology, Cytochemistry, and Ultrastructure of Leukemic Cells with Regard to the Classification of Leukemias

  • Chapter
Leukemia

Part of the book series: Recent Results in Cancer Research ((RECENTCANCER,volume 93))

Abstract

Morphology and cytochemistry now play a major part in the diagnosis and subclassification of acute myeloid leukemias (AML). In acute lymphatic leukemias (ALL), however, these methods have largely been replaced by immunological membrane marker investigations.
