Die motorisierte Spiralenteroskopie wurde im Juli 2023 weltweit vom Markt genommen, alle Geräte wurden kompromisslos aus den anwendenden klinischen Einrichtungen zurückgerufen. Hintergrund waren offenbar mehrere schwerste Zwischenfälle. Da es sich hier um einen bisher in dieser Form in der gastrointestinalen Endoskopie nie da gewesenen Vorgang handelt, soll diese Entwicklung in den „GASTRO NEWS“ kurz vorgestellt und diskutiert werden. …
