A 13-month-old male infant developed an allergic skin reaction during treatment with carbamazepine for intractable apnoeic seizures. The male infant, who was diagnosed with Williams-Beuren syndrome, presented with recurrent episodes apnoeic seizures. Therefore, he started receiving carbamazepine [dosage and route not stated]. However, after the first dose, he developed an allergic skin reaction [time to reaction onset not stated].
