Zusammenfassung

Bei der diagnostischen Abklärung von Totgeburten erfolgt die Untersuchung der Mutter, des Fetus und der Plazenta. Bei der Mutter kommen u.a. gynäkologische und endokrinologische Untersuchungen, Gerinnungsdiagnostik und Infektionsscreening zum Einsatz. Beim Fetus können neben einer Autopsie auch MRT und Röntgenaufnahmen eingesetzt werden. Die Untersuchung der Plazenta umfasst eine histopathologische Aufarbeitung sowie die Messung von Gewicht und Größe.
