Abstract
The major impetus for structured follow-up after primary treatment of localized non-small-cell lung cancer is both early detection and re-treatment of recurrent disease with a curative intent, and early detection and treatment of a secondary primary tumor. In patients with lung cancer, the significance of intensive follow-up is still under debate.
