A 72-year-old woman developed anorexia and diarrhoea during treatment with gimeracil/oteracil/tegafur [S1] as an adjuvant chemotherapy for anaplastic carcinoma of pancreas [dosage, duration of treatment to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. The woman, who was diagnosed with anaplastic carcinoma of pancreas, underwent resection with a clear margin. Subsequently, she received adjuvant chemotherapy with oral gimeracil/oteracil/tegafur. Eventually, she developed anorexia and diarrhoea secondary to the gimeracil/oteracil/tegafur therapy. Therefore, gimeracil/oteracil/tegafur was discontinued after 2 weeks. No recurrence was noted in her underlying condition six months after the resection. …
