A 56-year-old man developed anaemia while receiving hydroxycarbamide [hydroxyurea; route, duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated] for prefibrotic primary myelofibrosis. He was diagnosed with prefibrotic primary myelofibrosis and started receiving cytoreductive therapy with hydroxycarbamide 1000 mg/day. Subsequently, he developed anaemia during the treatment.
