Biliary atresia (BA) accounts for nearly one-third of all neonatal cholestasis (NC) and it is one of the common indications for liver transplantation (LT) in children. Presentation is with jaundice, high color urine and pale stools in an otherwise healthy infant during the first weeks of life.
