Zusammenfassung

Der Kniegelenkoberflächenersatz ergibt bei guter Implantationstechnik ausgezeichnete Langzeitresultate. I. d. R. liegt ein gut erhaltenes knöchernes Implantatlager vor, septische Komplikationen sind gegenüber dem Einsatz intramedullär verankerter, gekoppelter Implantate seltener. Mit einem kontrollierten Weichteilrelease können oft auch bei ausgeprägten kontrakten Fehlstellungen oder bei Knieendoprothesenrevisionen noch eine gute Abstimmung des erhaltenen Kapsel-Band-Apparates und die Voraussetzungen zur Implantation einer bikondylären Prothese erzielt werden. Eine Deformität im kniegelenknahen Bereich kann sowohl ossär als ligamentär bedingt sein. Die Weichteile bilden eine das Kniegelenk umgebende Manschette, die nur durch die Patella unterbrochen ist; bei vielen Patienten, die zur Knietotalalloarthroplastik anstehen, findet sich hier eine Kontraktur, was u. a. zu fixierten Valgus-, Varus- oder Flexionsdeformitäten führt.
