Zusammenfassung

Der genaue Ursprung der Multiplen Sklerose (MS) ist ungeklärt, aber es wird eine Kombination aus genetischen Einflüssen und Umweltfaktoren vermutet. Eine Studie auf Grundlage ambulanter Abrechnungsdaten der Kassenärztlichen Bundesvereinigung aus dem Jahr 2008 hat es ermöglicht, die räumliche Verteilung der MS in Deutschland darzustellen und mögliche Erklärungen für die Verteilung zu untersuchen.
