Jüngste Studienergebnisse zu Titan- und Keramikimplantaten zeigen, dass die Zusammensetzung des Implantatmaterials nicht nur von materialwissen-schaftlichem, sondern auch von klinisch-biologischem Interesse ist. Für die kritische Wahl des Implantatmaterials sind entsprechende Kenntnisse über die aktuell verfügbaren Implantatwerkstoffe eine Grundvoraussetzung.
