A 38-year-old man developed gastritis during treatment with prednisolone for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). The man, who had acute hepatitis-A infection, was diagnosed with AIH. He started receiving oral prednisolone 40mg daily. An improvement in AIH was noted. Azathioprine was added to the treatment, and the dose of prednisolone was tapered by 5 mg/week until discontinuation. His prednisolone treatment course was complicated by gastritis [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated].
