A 42-year-old man with known sensitivity to cotrimoxazole [trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole] presented with a 5-day history of an ulcerative lesions on his glans. On questioning, it was discovered that his wife was using sulfabenzamide/sulfathiazole/sulfacetamide [triple sulfa] vaginal cream for vaginitis, and that the eruption had developed following intercourse [time to reaction onset not stated]. A rechallenge test was performed on his glans, and he reported a burning sensation and pruritus 3 hours later. After 24 hours, he developed erythema and erosion of his glans, confirming a diagnosis of postcoital penile drug eruption [outcome not stated]. …
