A 21-year-old woman developed vancomycin toxicity during treatment with vancomycin. She underwent a low transverse caesarean section at 32 weeks gestation and delivered a male neonate. Subsequently, the surgical wound culture grew Klebsiella oxytoca and she was treated with vancomycin [route and dosage not stated]. She developed vancomycin toxicity, which required a dose modification.
