Zusammenfassung

Die bakterielle Vaginose stellt eine Milieustörung der Vagina dar und wird als eine mögliche Ursache von Frühgeburtlichkeit angesehen. Im deutschsprachigen Raum wird die bakterielle Vaginose sehr häufig als Aminkolpitis bzw. Aminvaginose bezeichnet (Petersen 2003). Allerdings sind beide Begriffe unglücklich gewählt, da sie weder national noch international anerkannt sind.
