Our patient is a 76-year-old Caucasian woman with a history of high blood pressure, asthma, dyslipidemia, and depressive syndrome. She previously suffered from Diogenes syndrome and had irregular medical follow up. The patient’s home caught fire for unknown reasons and she was found unconscious inside the house. Once rescued from the house, the patient was immediately given 10 g of intravenous hydroxocobalamin. This was followed by rapid sequence intubation and transfer to the regional burn center. …
