Zusammenfassung

In der Behandlung von hypertrophen Narben und Keloiden haben sich in den letzten 20 Jahren neue Verfahren etabliert, die z. T. auf einer Verbesserung bewährter Methoden beruhen, aber auch als komplette Neuentwicklungen den Weg in die Praxis gefunden haben. In diesem Beitrag wird zunächst der Stand der aktuellen Forschung im Hinblick auf die multifaktorielle Ätiologie der Narbenbildung dargestellt. Weiterhin werden die Grundlagen möglicher Narbentherapien skizziert, die Unterschiede zwischen konservativen und chirurgischen Behandlungsansätzen erklärt, und es wird ein Ausblick auf neuartige Optionen auf dem Gebiet der Narbenbehandlung gegeben.
