Die Fazialisparese ist die häufigste Hirnnervenerkrankung. Dabei ist der Großteil zwar idiopathisch bedingt, um aber bleibende Schäden so gering wie möglich zu halten, ist es wichtig, die Ursache so früh wie möglich zu identifizieren und zu behandeln. Neben der medikamentösen Therapie spielen bei schweren Formen auch operative Strategien eine Rolle. Nicht zu unterschätzen ist eine frühzeitige begleitende therapeutische Unterstützung. …
