Zusammenfassung

Die Deckung von gingivalen Rezessionen hat nicht nur aufgrund von gestiegenen ästhetischen Bedürfnissen von Patienten an Bedeutung gewonnen. Gerade die Progression von Rezessionen z. B. im Unterkieferfrontzahnbereich mach häufig eine chirurgische Korrektur notwendig. Über die letzten Jahrzehnte ließ sich durch wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen klar aufzeigen, mit welchen Techniken und Materialien in welchen Indikationen gute und langfristig stabile Ergebnisse zu erreichen sind. Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Darstellung einiger Techniken, mit denen vorhersagbar eine Deckung von gingivalen Rezessionen erzielt werden kann.

Der Aufbau von Geweben und Organen während der Embryonalentwicklung wird von den Zellen bemerkenswert choreografiert. Für diesen Prozess braucht es spezielle sogenannte „Organisatoren“. In einer aktuellen Veröffentlichung im Fachjournal Nature Cell Biology berichten Forschende durch welchen Vorgang diese Organisatoren im Gewebe entstehen und wie sie dann die Bildung von Zähnen orchestrieren.
