Zusammenfassung

Die Kardioonkologie ist ein integraler Bestandteil der Behandlung von Patientinnen und Patienten mit Krebserkrankung. Durch die verbesserte Langzeitprognose, das komplexe Spektrum onkologischer Therapien und kardiovaskulärer Komorbiditäten gewinnt die bestmögliche Prävention, Diagnostik und Behandlung von Krebstherapie-assoziierten kardiovaskulären Nebenwirkungen weiter an Bedeutung. Im Folgenden werden Strategien zur Überwachung, geeignete diagnostische Modalitäten und Therapieoptionen am Beispiel der Anthrazyklin-Chemotherapie zusammengefasst. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf der bestmöglichen medikamentösen Therapie sowie auf den positiven Auswirkungen einer sportlichen Betätigung zur Prävention einer Anthrazyklin-assoziierten kardiovaskulären Nebenwirkung.
