Zusammenfassung

Wegen der komplexen anatomischen Verhältnisse und der biomechanischen Besonderheiten stellen Verletzungen der oberen Halswirbelsäule eine diagnostische und therapeutische Herausforderung dar. Im vorliegenden Weiterbildungsbeitrag werden die diagnostischen Prinzipien, die gängigen Klassifikationen und Therapieempfehlungen sowie verletzungsspezifische Besonderheiten von knöchernen und ligamentären Verletzungen der oberen Halswirbelsäule (C0-C2) behandelt.
