Kehlkopferhaltende Operationen bei Larynxkarzinomen

Zusammenfassung

Das Larynxkarzinom ist nach den Mundhöhlen- und Pharynxkarzinomen der dritthäufigste bösartige Tumor im Kopf-Hals-Bereich. Entsprechend der aktuellen S3-Leitlinie zur Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge des Larynxkarzinoms gehören larynxerhaltende operative Eingriffe, auch in fortgeschritten Tumorstadien, zur Standardtherapie dieser Erkrankung. Um jedoch den gewünschten funktionserhaltenden Effekt zu erreichen, ist eine exakte Indikationsstellung von entscheidender Bedeutung. Im vorliegenden Artikel werden die wichtigsten larynxerhaltenden Eingriffe sowie deren Indikationsbereiche, aber auch die jeweiligen Kontraindikationen dargestellt – mit dem Ziel, den chirurgischen Therapiebereich bis kurz vor der totalen Laryngektomie zu erörtern.

ASS schützt nicht vor Brustkrebsrezidiven

Nützt nichts und ist vielleicht sogar schädlich: In einer Phase-3-Studie konnten täglich 300 mg ASS keine Brustkrebsrezidive bei Frauen vermeiden, die ein hohes Risiko für eine Tumorrückkehr aufwiesen. Tendenziell traten unter ASS sogar häufiger Rezidive auf als unter Placebo.
