Zusammenfassung

Die Tötung eines Kindes durch seine Eltern ist ein komplexes Phänomen, das in zahlreichen Kulturen und zu verschiedenen Zeiten beschrieben wurde. Kinder unter einem Jahr haben das höchste Tötungsrisiko. Die Formen des Infantizids, die in der Postpartalzeit vorkommen, sind der altruistische Infantizid, der erweiterte Suizid, die Misshandlung mit Todesfolge und der Neonatizid. Säuglinge werden vorwiegend von ihren Müttern getötet und diese leiden häufig unter psychischen Störungen. Sowohl bei depressiven als auch bei psychotischen Störungen stehen inhaltlich das neugeborene Kind und die Mutterschaftkonstellation im Zentrum der Symptomatik. Soziodemographische Charakteristika der filizidalen Mütter werden in Bezug zu den unterschiedlichen Formen der Kindestötung dargestellt. Typische Risikokonstellationen, die zum Infantizid führen können, werden beschrieben. Hieraus lassen sich präventive Ansätze für den Filizid in der Postpartalzeit ableiten.
