A 37-yr-old man with a medical history significant for bilateral iliac vein stenting in May 2021 presented in March 2022 for cardioversion after three to four months of atrial tachycardia. The patient gave written consent for publication of this report. Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) prior to cardioversion showed two stents lodged within the right heart, and urgent surgical intervention was recommended. A preoperative computerized tomography scan showed two stents in the right atrium, with one stent traversing the tricuspid valve (

Repeat TEE examination in the operating room confirmed the diagnosis and revealed one of the stents bridging the tricuspid valve (Figure, panel A; Electronic Supplementary Material [ESM] eVideo) and associated severe tricuspid regurgitation (Figure, panel B; ESM eVideo). Cardiotomy was performed via a right mini-thoracotomy with cardiopulmonary bypass. Both stents were removed and the tricuspid valve was repaired with only mild residual tricuspid regurgitation. …
