Die diabetische Polyneuropathie gehört zu den häufigsten Komplikationen des Diabetes mellitus. Meist manifestiert sie sich als distal-symmetrische Polyneuropathie, es gibt aber viele weitere Formen. Die Diagnostik kann bei seltenen oder atypischen Manifestationen schwierig sein. Außer der Optimierung der Blutzuckereinstellung und des Lebensstils gibt es derzeit keine kausale Therapie. Da ca. die Hälfte der Betroffenen neuropathische Schmerzen hat, ist Hilfe hier besonders wichtig. …
