Zusammenfassung

Im Folgenden wird die Schwierigkeit der Behandlung einer chronischen Erkrankung (Diabetes) in der Schwangerschaft bei Frauen mit Migrationshintergrund, hier am Beispiel einer adipösen Patientin mit bestehendem Bluthochdruck, PCO-Syndrom (polyzystisches Ovarialsyndrom) und anamnestischer Depression, sowohl mit fehlendem Bildungshintergrund als auch mangelnden bzw. kaum vorhandenen Deutschkenntnissen dargestellt. Zunächst erfolgen einige theoretische Erläuterungen. Anschließend wird der Fall beschrieben, gefolgt von einer Reihe von Empfehlungen zur kultursensiblen Kommunikation.
