Adjuvante antimikrobielle Maßnahmen in der Parodontitistherapie

Zusammenfassung

Die nichtchirurgische kausale Parodontitistherapie richtet sich v. a. gegen parodontopathogene Mikroorganismen. Dabei ist die Compliance des Patienten wesentlich. In leicht- bis mittelgradigen Fällen von Parodontitis sind mit der subgingivalen Instrumentierung erfolgreiche und stabile Ergebnisse zu erreichen. Wichtigste klinische Erfolgskriterien für einen erfolgreichen Zahnerhalt sind: keine Resttaschen >5 mm, wenig Plaque und Blutung bei Sondierung. In ausgewiesenen Fällen kann die Effizienz der Instrumentierung durch eine lokale komplementäre Anwendung von adjuvanten antimikrobiellen Maßnahmen, z. B. Antiseptika, Antibiotika oder antimikrobielle Lasertherapie einschließlich photodynamischer Therapie, gesteigert werden. Alle Ergänzungen dienen der Unterstützung der professionellen supra- und subgingivalen Therapie und sind Grundlage für eine effektive häusliche Mundhygiene des Patienten. Das Therapiekonzept wird jeweils an die individuelle Ausprägung der Erkrankung angepasst.
