The German Medical Sociology Association (DGMS) assigns in 2005, for the first time, an award (of €2,000) for junior scientists at German universities in the field of Medical Sociology. The award is donated by professors of Medical Sociology. Junior scientists will be chosen for specific activities in medical-sociological research, training and/or practice. The activities can be nominated for the award by the scientists themselves. Persons and their activities worth the award can also be nominated by third parties. …
