A 46-year-old man, without any known medical history presented to our hospital for severe bilateral upper extremity weakness. One month before, his symptoms started with a spontaneous, acute and severe pain in the upper limbs bilaterally. He was first admitted to another hospital, where the clinical examination appeared normal. A CT scanner of the cervical spine was performed and showed no pathological findings. The MRI scan of the cervical spine showed no spinal cord injury, no herniated disc or disco-radicular impingement and a normal diameter of the cervical spinal canal. The diagnosis of cervicobrachial neuralgia was made and the patient was sent home. …
