The Medicare population comprises 60 million Americans,
1 many of whom are the most vulnerable people susceptible to COVID-19 mortality. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine recommended targeting high-risk individuals including older individuals in the early stages of a national vaccine rollout.
