Dieulafoy’s lesion is a rare cause of massive gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Life-threatening bleeding occurs in 10% of patients with Dieulafoy’s lesion [
1]. Although patients with Dieulafoy’s lesions associated with thrombocytopenia due to hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelets (HELLP) syndrome [
2], myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) [
3], and chronic liver disease [
4] have been reported, as far as we know, the case of a patient suffering GI bleeding from Dieulafoy’s lesion with idiopathic/immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is unprecedented. Here we report a patient with gastrointestinal bleeding caused by Dieulafoy’s lesion in association with ITP. …
