Abstract

New-onset heart failure is a common clinical scenario which presents several diagnostic challenges to the clinician. Noninvasive cardiac imaging with echocardiography, radionuclide imaging, computed tomography, and cardiovascular magnetic resonance plays an essential role in the evaluation of such patients. This article will review the application of noninvasive imaging for diagnosis and management planning in the patient with new-onset heart failure.
