Imaging the future: a report from the Young Daily EANM Forum 2013

The EANM has enforced the decision to prioritize the growing “Young EANM” community as an investment in the future of the nuclear medicine speciality [1‐5]. The young EANM working group, elevated to status of a committee in 2013, was therefore established with the aim of fostering the best scientific interests of nuclear medicine trainees and guiding their career development under the mentoring of senior EANM members. To fulfil this commitment, the Young EANM Committee is engaged in many activities which include the Daily Forum, a feature of the EANM congresses since 2009 [6]. This consists of a series of lunch-time sessions open to all attendees at the beginning of their career from all fields including clinical nuclear medicine, instrumentation, physics and radiopharmacy. In addition, senior experts in nuclear medicine ready to follow the discussions and keen to meet talented young colleagues are most welcome to assist and guide the future generation. These sessions also represent a great opportunity for junior EANM members to get to know each other, senior colleagues and the EANM. …Anzeige
