Localised forms of giant cell tumours of the tendon sheath are rare occurrences in large weight-bearing intra-articular joints such as the knee. However, diagnosis of such lesions provides a diagnostic problem due to the lack of characteristic and specific symptoms. We report an unusual case of a giant cell tumour of the tendon sheath arising from the medial retinaculum that caused locking of the knee. …
