A 62-year-old woman presented for evaluation of a knee contusion sustained approximately 2 weeks previously. Her pain had decreased considerably since the injury, and at the time of presentation, she had neither pain nor swelling. Several years earlier, she had sustained a traumatic fracture of the right pubic and ischial rami, which resulted in intermittent radicular pain to her right leg.
