Convergence retraction nystagmus, while non-prognostic, localizes to the dorsal midbrain posterior commissure and underscores the severity of hematoma extension in this patient [
1]. Characteristically, the eyes will show a posterior (fast phase)–anterior (retraction) movement during the nystagmus. Dysconjugate horizontal jerk nystagmus, in which both eyes converge during the fast phase and diverge during the slow phase, has also been described [
