“We believe that PET scan findings with FDG have prognostic value for high-grade gliomas and, in this respect, the PET-FDG technique is superior to CT or angiography. In addition, the PET-FDG grading of high-grade astrocytomas appears to be a more valuable prognostic criterion than the histological 20 typing [ 1 ].” Patronas NJ et al. 1985
