A multidisciplinary approach to osteoporotic fractures is important and having some form of fracture liaison service (FLS) improves the efficacy of osteoporotic care and decreases secondary fractures.

Screening for osteoporosis remains low.

Ultrasound may be cost-effective for diagnosis.
