Sarcoidosis, a multisystem disease characterized by the formation of noncaseating granulomas, occurs classically in the lungs, skin, hilar lymph nodes and eyes, although any organ can be infiltrated [1, 2]. The bones are affected in 1–13 % of patients, as osteolytic, osteoporotic or cystic lesions [3, 4].
