A 37-year-old woman developed nausea, vomiting and metabolic acidosis during treatment with acetazolamide for idiopathic intracranial hypertension. She started receiving treatment with acetazolamide at low dose [route and dosage not stated]. Despite the low dose of acetazolamide, she experienced nausea, vomiting and metabolic acidosis [duration of treatment to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. Consequently, acetazolamide was replaced by furosemide and topiramate. She showed a significant improvement in idiopathic intracranial hypertension symptoms following dural venous sinus stenting; however, a few of the symptoms (mild intermittent visual disturbances and pulsatile tinnitus) continued. …
