Auf einen Blick

Verordnungsprofil Der größte Teil der Verordnungen von Antianämika entfällt weiterhin auf Eisenpräparate, gefolgt von Folsäure und Epoetinpräparaten mit jeweils deutlich geringeren Verordnungsvolumina. Seit 2013 nahmen die Verordnungszahlen aller drei Gruppen der Antianämika zu. Das Beispiel der Herzinsuffizienz zeigt, dass sich die Korrektur eines Eisenmangels auch auf Begleiterkrankungen positiv auswirkt. Bereits 2021 wurde mit Roxadustat ein Inhibitor der HIF-PH (Hypoxie-induzierbarer Faktor-Prolylhydroxylase) zugelassen, der wie Epoetine die Erythropoese stimuliert, aber oral verfügbar ist. 2023 folgte die EU-Zulassung von Vadadustat und die Europäische Arzneimittelbehörde (EMA) hat sich kürzlich für die Zulassung von Daprodustat ausgesprochen, das wie die beiden anderen HIF-PH-Inhibitoren bei renaler Anämie zum Einsatz kommen soll.

Die Therapie von Echinokokkosen sollte immer in spezialisierten Zentren erfolgen. Eine symptomlose Echinokokkose kann – egal ob von Hunde- oder Fuchsbandwurm ausgelöst – konservativ erfolgen. Wenn eine Op. nötig ist, kann es sinnvoll sein, vorher Zysten zu leeren und zu desinfizieren.
