Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex inflammatory autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorder affecting individuals between 20 and 40 years of age, more often women. The incidence and prevalence of MS are increasing globally, also in geographic areas that were previously considered to be low incidence for the disease [
