The cobblestone appearance of gastrointestinal mucosa is classically described in Crohn’s disease, a chronic remitting and relapsing granulomatous inflammatory disease which can affect any portion of the gastrointestinal tract [
1]. Dr. Crohn wrote his landmark paper on Regional Ileitis in 1934 [
2], which resulted in this disease entity bearing his name. However, case reports compatible with Crohn’s disease date back to as far as 1769, when Morgagni described the autopsy findings in a 20-year-old male with a long history of bloody stools and severe abdominal pain [
