Zusammenfassung

Diabetespatienten bemerken Sehminderungen meist erst bei fortgeschrittenen Netzhautdefekten. Dann kann allenfalls noch eine mäßige Sehverbesserung erzielt werden. Daher ist ein regelmäßiges Screening wichtig. Geeignete Screeningabstände, Diagnose- und Therapiemethoden werden für jeden Patienten im Behandlerteam aus Augenarzt, Hausarzt und/oder Diabetologe festgelegt. Welche Optionen es gibt, erläutert der folgende Beitrag.
