Positron emission tomography (PET) with computed tomography (CT) is the combination of imaging function and structure. In the past decade, the integration of anatomic and functional imaging has emerged as a new and promising diagnostic tool especially in the field of oncology. The training project was initiated on the June 4, 2007 and was completed on July 3, 2007 at the Clinical PET–CT Center at St. Thomas Hospital, London, UK, which is affiliated with the Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ school of Medicine and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation trust. This centre was established in 1992 and was the first clinically oriented PET centre in the United Kingdom. The workload at the centre includes more than 90% oncology patients and less than 10% with cardiology, neurology and miscellaneous referrals. …
