John Hunter (1728–1793) is considered among the fathers of modern surgical anatomy and pathology. He is famed for being the first individual to describe a vast range of anatomic discoveries, diseases, and treatments, although these are thought to be focused largely on adult patients. His contribution to pediatric cardiology is not widely recognized, and for the first time, I identify John Hunter’s earliest description of two congenital pediatric cardiologic conditions. …
