Zusammenfassung

Der Gastroenterologe, der endoskopisch kolorektale Polypen abträgt, erwartet eine standardisierte und strukturierte histopathologische Befundung, aus der sich schnell und einfach die relevanten Informationen für das weitere klinische Management der Patienten entnehmen lassen. Im Rahmen einer Taskforce aus Klinikern und Pathologen wurde im Laufe des vergangenen Jahres eine Checkliste erarbeitet, die helfen soll, sowohl die endoskopische als auch die pathohistologische Befundung zu verbessern und zu vereinheitlichen. Dabei geht es in dieser Arbeit nicht darum, detaillierte molekularpathologische Karzinogenesewege aufzuzeigen, sondern konkret die Vorgaben von evidenzbasierten Leitlinien und etablierten, internationalen Klassifikationen für die Praxis aufzuarbeiten und umzusetzen. Grundlagen hierfür sind die neue WHO-Klassifikation der Tumoren des Verdauungstrakts, die aktualisierte S3-Leitlinie zum kolorektalen Karzinom – Kapitel „Polypen-Management“ – und das Konsensuspapier der AG GI-Pathologie in der DGP zur Diagnostik und Differenzialdiagnostik serratierter Läsionen im Kolorektum.
