This paper describes the intra- and early postoperative treatment of gastric and esophageal tearing and one case of small bowel tearing that occurred during primary or secondary gastric banding (GB) operations. During a 15-year follow-up, 24 patients were identified with gastric perforations [
1]. The paper describes the intraoperative laparoscopic repair of gastric tears. During a mean follow-up time of 52.2 months, 17 patients had no further complications. A band migration was observed in only one patient. …
