Metronidazole-induced CNS toxicity is “uncommon”, say researchers from Japan, but can present as altered mental status, cerebellar dysfunction, or seizures. There does not seem to be a link between metronidazole duration or dose and such toxicity, with even small amounts of the drug able to induce neurotoxicity. …
